I am a little confused over your version numbering.
I have Twonky Server 8.4-2, running on 2 QNAP Servers.
This I had downloaded in March.
Is the current version 8.4.1, a newer release, or was the previous named incorrectly inside the qpkg package for the QNAP Install?

8.4.1 is newer than 8.4-2

Hi. Is there are "correct" procedure to update from a version which used the previous licensing scheme (such as Twonky 8.3 running under Linux). The new scheme does not like my forum login, and I also tried creating a new one for the Lynx Technology login that the server offers, but had no luck with that either. Does it impose some unstated restriction on the range of characters permissible for user names and / or passwords? Also, the email responses from the automated login process are very terse - Outlook generally decides that they are phishing emails and so filters them appropriately and does not allow embedded links to be used.

Right now, this new licensing scheme looks like a completely backwards step and serves only to inconvenience users.

It's hard to recommend this software to others (as I and my company have done for many years) when we can't make it work ourselves!
