Running fine here. I never got the MyTwonky stuff working thou, it shows me as being logged on from my server, but MyTwonky site doesn't seem to see me being connected, as clicking My Library, it always just offers me the download for the Windows or Mac version. Perhaps I need to open firewall ports...

Also, would like to report a problem with server uptime detection on the status page. Mine shows:

Do the NAS builds work with MyTwonky? I have the server running, but the MyTwonky page says it's not connected and refeshing does not help; "Already installed Twonky 7.0? Check that it is running on your computer and try refreshing this page." Not really knowing what MyTwonky is, it's hard...

A couple of things I noticed: -appdir is not fully obeyed, it creates some stuff in /var/twonky/ (and if these directories aren't there, it logs some errors to screen) twonkymedia-server.ini is now called twonkyserver.ini so it didn't pickup my settings and licence by default, I had ...

No problems here, things working exactly the same as before the latest update.

What does the web interface show? Is all the content listed there? If not, then your problems are unrelated to the PS3 and more likely server-side.

Any further news on the broken Kirkwood build? I have been unable to run the latest stable release, and stuck on an old RC. I'm concerned 6.0.33 had been canceled, and Kirkwood/Sheevaplug owners have been left without an upgrade path...

As mentioned, it's because of the non-standard layout the device has. Use -appdir to relocate to somewhere with adequate space. Also looking for the NAS builds. The FLAC2WAV transcoding issue was fixed in 6.0.23 for me (Kirkwood Linux server streaming to PS3), so it looks like the changelog above is a cumulative changelog of 6.0.23 and 6.0.28

I would agree that ContentBase needs exposing to the web interface and documenting if possible, it's a comonly used feature. I suspect the reason it's not exposed is for the commercial NAS products, they don't want end-users fiddling with it and exposing other parts of the OS filesystem to the serve...

It's a slim with the latest firmware.

I have some D-Link homeplugs but I don't get more than about 20yards on my home wiring before they start dropping out. My PS3 and Server are connected via 100Mbit ethernet via a Netgear DG834N router.

It's all about standards, which are there for a reason. If Microsoft choose to ignore them, then it's going to be detrimental to cross platform support.

Twonky does support the Xbox, but then end user experience is going to be worse, because of the proprietary protocols that Microsoft use.

No problems here at all. However I always delete the metadata/database and let it re-create it between major version numbers. (I don't always bother in small number upgrades, unless I have problems)

Have you ensured the PS3 detected correctly in the clients table in the web interface? If it is, then you need to ensure it's not a problem with the media you are trying to share. This is a very important point, DLNA does not cover everything. MKV is a rather complicated format, and certainly not part of DLNA certification.

Personally, I don't understand why people use it, as MPEG2 and MPEG4 containers work perfectly fine for me, and have much wider product support.

Can't try out 6.0 final yet, no links for NAS builds yet :-(

I did see a problem in the betas, where the flash interface did not initialise fully if you were only sharing videos. I added a couple of music tracks and it then worked. Could this be your problem?

Server5 serials work on Server6.

If you hang on a while, there is some specific WHS information coming regarding how to use the standard version of server on WHS. (the WHS specific builds are being discontinued).
