Re: Media Server without a PC ????

Hi,

Without knowing exactly the capabilities of ps3 or your 4TB drive.

What you are looking for is what normally is called a NAS (Networked Attached Storage).

Maybe the nas version of Twonky should fix it on your drive.
It does it on my mss+

Re: Are You Happy With You Philips Hardware?

I agree with the other posters. It works fine but a firmware update would be nice.
I have a SLA5520 and SLM5500.

Hi,

I don't really remember but doesen't Twonky have "watch folders" as a choice then you run Twonky.
So you can browse the folders.
I know that either Twonky or PMM has it or both.

I voted for Twonky mostly for better sorting of tracks.

The embedded doesen't give you many choices.

Hi!

You can find it at Philips site.

If you search for slm5500 and look at support.
If you own a Streamium product you should have recived it as a cd

Has anyone wrote it in to the bug report system?

My problem is that some divx/xvid works with Twonky others not.
I have compared files that work with files that don't work with gspot.

and i don't find the difference ... does anyone know what to look for?

Similar problem

I have a similair problem on the SLM5500.

Some divx/xvid don't play if use Twonky but they work with PMM.

So my conclusion is that Twonky is the problem.
